Summary:

Annual Planning – Assist the Vice President in the development of the annual audit plan and in the continuous monitoring and evaluation of the plan to ensure that all high-risk areas are being addressed. The incumbent should review plans against market conditions and re-assess and provide new ideas on an ongoing basis with respect to processes / controls to be audited.
Engagement Planning -Ensure when acting as Audit Principal or as Officer in Charge that the engagement plan addresses all risk areas, and scope & work in accordance with the plan, the audit programs are appropriately designed and general adherence to the Audit Department’s methodology. Also assist in ensuring that the engagement has appropriately staffed, including secondment of staff from other business line audit groups to assist in the audit project. Continuous focus should be on enhancing the programs to keep up to date with changing risks and market conditions.
Audit Execution – Ensure that the audit team executes the audit plan to meet the audit objectives within the budgeted time. Also, complete review of all workpaper files to meet Internal Audit Quality control standards. Work with VP in ensuring appropriate audit coverage and minimize duplicate audit efforts between internal and external auditors.
Dedicated Certified Public Accountant with 12 years’ experience in accounting and finance. Audit Manager proficient in compliance risk assessment and resolution, as well as financial analysis. Strong analytical thinker with special expertise on audit systems re-engineering.
